As an accomplished Engineering Group Manager with a strong mechanical background, ideally with exposure to the transformer industry, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team towards operational excellence, project management, and innovative solutions. Your role will involve fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement among engineers. You will be responsible for efficient resource planning to support global and local business needs. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading and mentoring a team of engineers to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. - Planning and allocating resources efficiently to support global and local business needs. - Managing end-to-end engineering project execution, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards. - Providing technical guidance in engineering and supporting design reviews. - Monitoring key performance indicators such as First Pass Yield (FPY), On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Efficiency. - Collaborating with global stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure customer satisfaction. - Developing and executing strategies for team growth and capability building. Your background should include: - A Bachelors/masters degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline. - 15+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or team leadership position, preferably in a global or multi-location environment. - Experience in the transformer industry is advantageous. - Proven experience in managing projects, driving process and quality improvements, and working with global stakeholders. - Proficiency in CAD tools, automation workflows, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. - Strong analytical, organizational, and risk management skills. - Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building abilities. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
