Role Summary

The Gold Loan Sales Executive is responsible for generating gold loan business, acquiring new customers, maintaining customer relationships, ensuring proper valuation and documentation of gold, and achieving assigned sales targets while following compliance and security guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Generate leads and acquire new customers for gold loan products.
  • Conduct field visits, cold calls, and participate in marketing activities.
  • Achieve monthly business targets (disbursement, cross-sell, conversions).
  • Identify potential customers in the local market and develop relationships.

2. Customer Handling

  • Explain gold loan features, interest rates, schemes, and repayment options.
  • Provide assistance to customers during the loan process to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and deliver high-quality service.

3. Gold Appraisal & Loan Processing

  • Coordinate with certified gold appraisers for valuation.
  • Verify customer KYC documents and process loan applications.
  • Ensure accurate entry of customer details in the system.
  • Follow security protocols during gold handling and safe storage.

4. Portfolio Management

  • Monitor due payments and support collection activities when needed.
  • Contact customers for interest/EMI reminders and ensure timely repayments.
  • Work to minimize NPAs and improve portfolio quality.

5. Compliance & Audit

  • Follow RBI guidelines, company policies, and internal audit requirements.
  • Maintain complete documentation and adhere to operational standards.
  • Ensure zero tolerance for discrepancies in gold handling/valuations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12th Pass / Graduate (preferred).
  • Experience in BFSI sales, gold loan operations, or microfinance preferred.
  • Good communication and customer-handling skills.
  • Basic knowledge of KYC, lending processes, and MS Office apps.
  • Ability to work in field sales and meet monthly targets.
