journey with a state-of-the-art integrated plant near Nagpur. The company specializes in high-quality steel, including special alloy and stainless steel.

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing and purchasing activities related to raw materials and engineering goods for our integrated steel plant operations. The role requires strong expertise in vendor development, cost negotiation, and end-to-end procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing and procurement of

  ferro alloys, micro alloys, SS/MS scrap, nickel-based alloys, fluxes, and industrial minerals.

• Develop a vendor base for strategic raw materials, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
• Manage

  CAPEX

  and engineering procurement – machinery, spare parts, plant utilities, and project-related requirements.
• Float RFQs, evaluate quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and release purchase orders in line with company policies.
• Coordinate with user departments (SMS, RMHS, Maintenance, Projects) to understand specifications and material planning.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and assess vendor performance on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Monitor raw material market trends, price movements, and alternative sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, audit requirements, and documentation standards.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives through long-term contracts, alternate vendors, and volume leverage.
• Key Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of raw materials used in steel manufacturing
• Strong experience in engineering/capital goods procurement
• Excellent negotiation, vendor development, and cost control capabilities
• ERP/SAP proficiency
