Reports to: Manager

Job Summary:

Slitting:

Overseeing the slitting process, including material handling, machine setup, and cutting parameters, to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.

Conducting regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished slit rolls to identify defects, deviations from specifications, and potential issues.

Investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, and developing and implementing corrective and preventative actions to address problems and prevent recurrence.

Collecting and analyzing data related to slitting quality, generating reports on performance metrics, and communicating findings to relevant teams.

Working closely with slitting operators, production supervisors to improve slitting processes and address quality concerns.

Identifying opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and quality improvement in the slitting operation.

Providing training and guidance to slitting operators on quality procedures, best practices, and the use of quality control tools.

Maintaining accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and any corrective actions taken.

Tube Mill:

Develop, implement, and maintain a compliant QMS, often adhering to standards like ISO or IATF

Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.

Conduct dimensional measurements, visual and non-destructive testing, and review test reports to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.

Participate in internal and external quality audits, including customer audits and regulatory inspections.

Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.

Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented GET/ Shift Engineer - Quality Assurance. to support and manage the daily functions of our Tubes Pipes Cutting Department in a steel manufacturing setup.

Working Norms:

• Factory-based role with frequent interactions on the shop floor.
• May require weekend Rotational shift.
