Department : Slitting, Tube Mill, Tube cutting Designation : GET/ Shift Engineer - Quality Assurance. Reports to: Manager Job Summary: Slitting: Overseeing the slitting process, including material handling, machine setup, and cutting parameters, to ensure consistent quality and efficiency. Conducting regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished slit rolls to identify defects, deviations from specifications, and potential issues. Investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, and developing and implementing corrective and preventative actions to address problems and prevent recurrence. Collecting and analyzing data related to slitting quality, generating reports on performance metrics, and communicating findings to relevant teams. Working closely with slitting operators, production supervisors to improve slitting processes and address quality concerns. Identifying opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and quality improvement in the slitting operation. Providing training and guidance to slitting operators on quality procedures, best practices, and the use of quality control tools. Maintaining accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and any corrective actions taken.
