Job Description

General Manager Sales (Commercial Vehicle Division)

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and customer segments.
  • Drive product penetration and market expansion across regions.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a large sales team, ensuring strong performance and capability development.
  • Set clear sales targets and monitor performance through regular reviews.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the team.

Dealer & Channel Management

  • Manage dealer networks, ensure strong dealer relationships, and enhance overall channel performance.
  • Review dealer ROI, business planning, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support dealer onboarding, training, and compliance.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Oversee key accounts, fleet customers, and government/enterprise clients.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Lead negotiations for high-value deals and long-term partnerships.

P&L and Operational Management

  • Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and cost optimization for the sales division.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and MIS reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, statutory norms, and quality standards.

Key Requirements:

  • 20+ years of experience

    in Commercial Vehicle sales within the automobile industry.
  • Proven track record of leading large teams and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, dealer operations, and fleet business.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • MBA in Sales/Marketing or relevant specialization is preferred.
