General Manager Production

Role Overview: As a Lead in end-to-end production for home textile goods, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from product and process research to sourcing, vendor management, order planning, execution, and timely dispatch. Your role will involve coordinating with the Purchase and Merchandising teams to ensure on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery at the desired quality and cost. Key Responsibilities: - Order and Production Planning: You will be tasked with building TNA calendars, MRP, and capacity loading, balancing lines, monitoring plan vs actual daily, removing bottlenecks, and ensuring preventive maintenance to streamline the production process. - Purchase Coordination: Your responsibilities will include converting plans into indents/POs, following up on fabric/yarn/trims/packaging, expediting critical materials, and closely aligning with the Merchandising team on changes and approvals. - Quality and Compliance: Enforcing buyer standards and Acceptable Quality Level (AQL), leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and ensuring audit/certification compliance. - Cost and Inventory Control: You will focus on improving yield, reducing wastage, enhancing labor productivity, optimizing work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods (FG) inventory, and achieving standard cost targets. - Research and NPD: Evaluating new materials, processes, and finishes, conducting pilot samples, and validating costs and timelines for new product development. - Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identifying and developing mills/process houses/CMT units, negotiating costs, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and lead times, allocating capacity, and maintaining vendor scorecards. - Team Leadership: Leading planners, supervisors, and Quality Control (QC) personnel, implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring safety measures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen. Qualifications and Skills: - Degree/Diploma in Textile/Production/Industrial Engineering. - Deep hands-on experience in Home Textile production. - Strong vendor network and purchase coordination experience. - Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and excellent communication skills.,
