General Manager – Operations & Machining (Forging Division)

Location: Metoda, Rajkot (Gujarat)

• Role Overview:

The General Manager (Operations & Machining – Forging) will be responsible for leading and managing overall forging operations, machining processes, production planning, quality assurance, cost optimization, and workforce management. This role requires deep technical expertise in forging & machining, along with proven leadership skills to ensure operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability.

Key Skills & Competencies:

1 Strong expertise in forging processes (closed die, open die, press & hammer forging).

2 In-depth knowledge of CNC machining, heat treatment, and metallurgical processes.

3 Hands-on experience in lean manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen.

4 Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

5 Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage P&L.

Qualifications & Experience:

1 B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production Engineering (Master’s preferred).

2 15–25 years of experience in forging & machining industry (preferably automotive or heavy engineering).

3 Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role (Plant Head / GM / AGM / Operations Head).

4 Proven track record of leading large-scale forging & machining operations.
