Job Description

Key Responsibilities

To contest litigations for protecting the interest of the company
To assist in acquisition of the land, conducting title searches
Drafting of MOU, LOI, term sheet etc
Oversee all legal matters, contracts, compliance, and litigation.
Develop and implement the organizations legal strategy to align with business objectives and risk management practices.
Provide expert legal advice to the business development team and various departments on complex legal issues and strategic initiatives.
Manage and mentor the legal team, fostering a culture of professionalism and collaboration.
Negotiate, draft, and review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance and protect the organizations interests.
Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal risks associated with business operations.
Manage external legal counsel and consultants to ensure effective representation and cost-effective legal services.
Lead the organization’s efforts in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions, providing legal guidance and conducting due diligence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); a Master’s degree or additional legal certifications (e.g., LLM, bar admission) is preferred.
14+ years of experience in a corporate legal role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance, contracts, and litigation.
Proven experience in managing legal risks and providing practical legal advice to support business objectives.
Excellent negotiation and drafting skills, with a keen attention to detail..
