Role Overview

The GM-CSR will lead the identification, execution, and monitoring of CSR initiatives, especially in education, healthcare, and the environment. This role demands an empathetic leader who can translate vision into impactful, sustainable programs while collaborating closely with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive identification, evaluation, and selection of new CSR projects aligned with USVs mission, vision, and values.
• Lead budgeting and resource allocation for CSR initiatives to maximize impact and sustainability.
• Build and nurture strong partnerships with stakeholders, including agencies, legal teams, auditors, and community leaders.
• Oversee direct implementation of CSR activities using internal resources, focusing on effective delivery and compliance.
• Monitor progress using performance tools (dashboards, Gantt charts), regularly presenting status to management and CSR committees.
• Conduct milestone reviews and evaluate project proposals to ensure alignment and strategic fit.
• Guide, train, and support internal teams and partners in CSR principles and best practices.
• Ensure robust data management, documentation, and regular reporting to meet compliance norms and support continuous improvement.
• Support communication and engagement efforts, including site visits, proposal vetting, performance reviews, presentations to boards, and eventual agreement execution.

Key Focus Areas

• Education: Community schools, skill development institutes, education adoption programs
• Healthcare: Awareness campaigns, preventive healthcare, nursing programs, specialized initiatives (e.g., animal health, snakebite mitigation)
• Environment: Greening projects, sustainability, menstrual hygiene awareness

Desired Profile

• Postgraduate degree in Social Work or a recognized CSR/MBA qualification.
• 10-15 years of demonstrated success in CSR leadership or related fields.
• Significant project management experience; skilled in leading multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in data analysis, project tracking, and structured reporting for senior management.
• In-depth knowledge of CSR frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
• High integrity, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a genuine commitment to driving social change.
