Role Overview We are looking for a Engineering Manager to lead our high-performing team responsible for the core platforms powering NoBrokerHood. You will own product and technical delivery for mission-critical features, define the technical roadmap, and foster a culture of engineering excellence. This is a strategic role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving real-world problems at scale. Role & responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance services for NoBrokerHood. Drive end-to-end technical execution, from design to production rollout, in close collaboration with Product, Design, QA, and Mobile teams. Define architecture and engineering strategy to support high availability, fault tolerance, and future growth of the platform. Set best-in-class coding standards, conduct in-depth code reviews, and promote engineering best practices. Work closely with senior leadership and founders to align technology with business objectives and drive strategic initiatives. Ensure operational excellence with strong focus on monitoring, reliability, and incident management. Continuously evaluate and improve system performance, scalability, and technical debt. Preferred candidate profile Education: B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or related field from a premier institution. Experience: 6+ years of engineering experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership/management role. Proven experience designing and building distributed, service-oriented architectures. Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and modern backend frameworks. Deep understanding of databases both SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch). Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to balance tech and product trade-offs.
