Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Functional Manager with a strong background in hospital or clinic administration to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between healthcare clients (clinics, hospitals, labs) and our software development team. This role requires gathering, analyzing, and documenting change requests (CRs) and supporting the evolution of our EMR/HIS platform, including IP (Inpatient) and other modules.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering:
o Interface with hospital, clinic, and laboratory stakeholders to collect and analyze change requests and functional requirements.
o Understand region-specific healthcare workflows and regulations to ensure localized customization.
Documentation:
o Prepare comprehensive Change Request (CR) documents, including use cases, user flows, and impact analysis.
o Present CRs to both clients for approval and the development team for execution.
Domain Expertise:
o Leverage deep understanding of hospital/clinic operations, including front office, IP/OP management, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and medical records.
o Support the product team in enhancing and building new modules such as Inpatient, EMR enhancements, and department-specific workflows.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Act as a liaison between business users and the tech team to ensure clear understanding and proper implementation of features.
o Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) sessions with clients and gather feedback for iterations.
Product Support & Improvement:
o Assist in product roadmap planning based on market demands and client feedback. o Continuously assess product usability, effectiveness, and suggest enhancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Health Informatics, or related healthcare field.
5+ years of experience in hospital, clinic, or lab administration.
At least 2 years of experience working with HIS/EMR systems or healthcare IT products in a functional/business analyst role.
Strong understanding of healthcare processes across OP, IP, Pharmacy, Lab, Radiology, and Billing.
Familiarity with compliance standards like NABH, HIPAA is a plus.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams in agile environments is preferred.
Skills Required:
Strong analytical and documentation skills (BRD, FRD, CRs, flow diagrams).
Functional knowledge of HIS/EMR systems.
Stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
Regional healthcare process awareness and adaptability.
Basic knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
Nice to Have:
Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.
Exposure to HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
Multi-lingual capabilities for working across regions
