Job Description

📍 Remote (India/Delhi - based preferred) | Full-time


SeaBuddy is a B2B maritime platform deployed across commercial fleets to improve crew performance, communication, and retention. Built at the intersection of behavioural science and maritime tech, the platform is live onboard vessels and now entering its next phase of product and data scale.


We're hiring a full stack developer to lead engineering across our mobile and backend stack -stabilizing core systems, improving user experience, and helping us build the logic layer that powers personalized performance and engagement features.


Tech Stack:

  • React Native (bare workflow)
  • Node.js (Express)
  • PostgreSQL
  • Firebase (Auth, Notifications), AWS (S3), GCP (App Engine)
  • GitHub, Postman, Expo EAS, App Store + Play Store


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all mobile and backend development
  • Refactoring and optimizing our MVP codebase
  • Implementing behavioral logic based on structured product inputs
  • Designing data-driven decision flows and scoring models in collaboration with product
  • Contributing to the architecture for future AI integrations (LLMs, vector search, hybrid retrieval systems)


Ideal Background:

  • 3–5 years experience with React Native (bare or EAS workflow)
  • Proficient in Node.js and PostgreSQL
  • Experienced with Firebase, CI/CD for mobile, and API-first design
  • Bonus: Familiarity with algorithm design, personalization systems, or LLM toolkits (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Pinecone, LangChain)

  • Moves fast, writes clean code, and works independently
  • Can translate product logic into technical architecture
  • Thinks critically about performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Has curiosity about human data models, personalization, and applied AI
