Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development

Develop, maintain, and optimize APIs and backend systems using Laravel (PHP) and Node.js.
Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
Write clean, secure, and reusable code following best practices.
Implement authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth, Laravel Sanctum/Passport).

Database & Architecture

Design and optimize database schemas (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Work with ORM frameworks like Eloquent and database query optimization.
Implement queues, schedulers, caching (Redis, Memcached).

DevOps & Deployment

Manage deployments on AWS / DigitalOcean / Linux servers.
Handle CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and server monitoring.
Debug and resolve performance or scaling issues.

Quality & Collaboration

Participate in code reviews and sprint planning.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Work closely with product, design, and QA teams.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Laravel PHP (3–5 years preferred).
Solid experience with Node.js (Express.js/Nest.js).
Proficiency in MySQL/PostgreSQL and database architecture.
Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, third-party integrations.
Good knowledge of Linux environment (Nginx/Apache).
Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
Hands-on with Git, Docker (optional but preferred).

Good to Have

Experience with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React/Vue) is a plus.
Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
Familiarity with real-time applications using WebSockets.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent.
3–6 years of professional development experience.

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.
Excellent communication and ownership mindset.
