Front Office Intern

Role & responsibilities

• Guest/Client Interaction

  : Greet visitors, manage phone calls, take messages, redirect inquiries, and provide information.

• Reservations & Check-in/out (Hospitality)

  : Handle bookings, manage guest arrivals/departures, process payments, and explain services/rates.

• Administrative Support

  : Organize files, manage mail, schedule appointments, update documents, and handle basic bookkeeping.

• Problem Solving

  : Address and resolve guest/client complaints and issues professionally.

• Office Maintenance

  : Ensure the front desk area is tidy and stocked, and assist with general office upkeep.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Communication

  : Excellent verbal skills, friendly demeanor, professional attitude.

• Customer Service

  : Ability to provide high service levels under pressure.

• Computer Skills

  : Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and potentially specific hotel/office software.

• Teamwork

  : Positive attitude and willingness to help.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:

  Candidates are often pursuing or have completed a relevant diploma or a Bachelor's degree in any discipline. For hospitality roles, a background in hospitality or tourism management is often preferred.

• Experience:

  While many internships are entry-level, any prior experience in customer-facing roles, a receptionist position, or similar administrative work can be an advantage.
