Role Description

This full-time, on-site role as a Technical Superintendent, based in Gurgaon, will involve managing daily operations on vessels, ensuring safe and efficient ship management. The Technical Superintendent will oversee maritime operations, inspections, and marine engineering, focusing on both preventative and corrective maintenance. In addition, the role will include:

• Coordinating with vessel crews to ensure compliance with international regulations and company policies.
• Conducting technical inspections and assessments to ensure vessel readiness and operational safety.
• Managing dry-docking and maintenance schedules to minimize operational downtime.
• Providing technical support to vessel crews and shore-based teams.
• Monitoring vessel performance, including fuel consumption, emissions, and operational efficiency.
• Identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance overall vessel performance.
• Handling technical documentation and reporting requirements in compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of ship management processes.

Qualifications

• Sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on Dry Bulk carriers for 12 months
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities
• Proven leadership and excellent communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent
• Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC)
• Experience in dry-docking, vessel inspections, and compliance management
• Willingness to travel for vessel visits and inspections as required
