Freelance Web Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to determine website requirements, goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Design, code, and implement responsive websites or web applications according to client specifications.
• Develop and maintain both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and, where necessary, back-end (PHP, Python, Node.js, etc.) components.
• Optimize sites for speed, SEO, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile responsiveness.
• Guide clients on domain registration, hosting, content management, and ongoing site maintenance.
• Resolve website issues, bugs, or performance problems in a timely manner.
• Provide regular updates and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated with web trends to offer modern solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in core web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Familiarity with at least one backend language (PHP, Python, Node.js, etc.).
• Experience with popular content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Joomla).
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for direct client interactions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Portfolio showcasing completed web projects for various clients.
• Knowledge of basic graphic design is a plus.
