Freelance Consultant - Food Science / Processing

Our client, an American Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Food Science / Processing Consultant to support their team in food processing, value addition, packaging, branding, and

market access.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food processing, value addition, or agribusiness promotion, with the ability to offer strategic insights and practical solutions to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support initiatives in food processing, value addition, packaging, branding, and
• market access.
• Assist in identifying investment opportunities and facilitating industry partnerships.
• Provide technical assistance in quality control, food safety standards, and supply
• chain management.
• Coordinate with concerned departments, state agencies, food industry stakeholders, FSSAI, and other regulatory agencies.
• Conduct field assessments, stakeholder consultations, and data-driven analysis for programme evaluations and recommendations.
• Exposure to schemes of Government of India and States in the field of agriculture and allied sector. Having experience/exposure in the field level implementation of the schemes are an advantage.
• Ability to work in team and interact with government officials and stakeholders.
• Knowledge on priorities/objectives of Government of India on development of
• agriculture and allied sector.

Skills Required

Strong understanding of Food Technology/ Food Processing/ Agricultural Engineering/ related

discipline.

Expertise in food processing, value addition, or agribusiness promotion.

Strong analytical, documentation, and project management skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
