Franchise Business Development Manager

What you will do in this role:

Market Analysis & Business Development

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new franchise opportunities.
  • Build relationships with mall developers and landlords to secure prime retail locations with optimal commercial terms.
  • Visit shortlisted locations, negotiate with developers, and ensure alignment with brand requirements.

Franchisee Evaluation & Negotiation

  • Evaluate potential franchise partners as per Fossil’s guidelines.
  • Negotiate franchise agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate policies.

Franchise Operations Support

  • Provide end-to-end support to franchisees during store launch and ongoing operations.
  • Oversee coordination between internal departments to ensure seamless store openings and business transitions.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with franchise partners to ensure alignment with business plans and brand objectives.
  • Act as a key liaison between franchisees and Fossil India.

Strategic Planning & Budgeting

  • Contribute to strategic planning and budget implementation for franchise business growth.
  • Develop regional marketing plans in collaboration with marketing teams to maximize ROI.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Track franchisee performance, analyze sales data, and prepare reports for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and business growth.

Training & Development

  • Develop and execute training programs for franchise partners and their teams to ensure adherence to Fossil standards and operational excellence.

Who You Are (Requirements)

  • Experience:

    4–9 years of experience in business development and franchise management for premium brands, preferably in apparel or watches, at a regional or national level.
  • Education:

    Postgraduate degree from a reputed institute, preferably MBA or B.Tech.
  • Strong knowledge of the retail market landscape in India, especially relationships with mall developers in Tier-2 cities (preferred).
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to create effective business strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, international environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
  • Process-oriented, result-driven, and adept at multitasking.
