Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and long-term planning.
  • Build end-to-end financial models for revenue, cost, fleet utilization, capex, and cash burn.
  • Run scenario analysis for fleet expansion, EV procurement, and new business lines.

2. P&L Ownership & Unit Economics

  • Own P&L visibility across business verticals.
  • Monitor revenue drivers, margins, cost levers, and variances.
  • Deep dive into unit economics (vehicle, battery, fleet ops, SaaS).
  • Identify levers to improve contribution margin and asset ROI.

3. Business Partnering

  • Work with operations, supply chain, product, and business teams for day-to-day and strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate pricing models, partnerships, and new market entry.
  • Provide financial insights that drive operational performance and growth.

4. Performance Management & MIS

  • Build KPI dashboards for revenue, fleet utilization, churn, and cost centers.
  • Present insights and trends to the Founder/leadership.
  • Prepare monthly business reviews (MBR) and investor-ready MIS packs.

5. Strategic FP&A & Investor Support

  • Support fundraising with projections, business plans, and investor materials.
  • Partner on capital allocation, long-term growth strategy, and profitability roadmap.
  • Support due diligence with data and analytical insights.

6. Cash Flow Planning & Capital Efficiency

  • Build cash flow forecasts; optimize working capital and capex.
  • Conduct ROI-based evaluations for build vs. lease decisions in fleet expansion.
  • Monitor and control cash burn.

7. Systems, Data & Automation

  • Improve data accuracy and real-time visibility through dashboards and systems.
  • Work with tech/product teams to automate reporting and analytics.

8. Team Building

  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Strengthen analytical capabilities across the finance function.

Requirements

  • CA
  • 815 years of core FP&A experience
  • Strong expertise in P&L management, cost optimization, and financial modelling.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth, startup environments.
  • Strong business partnering ability and stakeholder management.
