FP&A Analyst (Accounting & Finance Background)

Work Place: Working from our India office (Hyderabad) - or - remotely from home - reporting to our US counter-part

It is a night shift job (5/6 pm to 2/3 pm)

FP&A Analyst

The role is ideal for someone analytical and detail-oriented, who enjoys working with financial data, building reports, and supporting decision-making, without direct managerial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting Operations

• Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger, creating invoices and reconciling AR and AP
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by creating / completing schedules.
• Generate invoices accurately and promptly based on contractual terms
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances. Indicate promptly for the follow up on overdue payments and resolve billing discrepancies
• Accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies between payments received and invoiced amounts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable processes.

• Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and review

  budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

  on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Perform variance analysis and identify trends in revenue, expenses, and key financial metrics
• Develop and maintain

  financial models

  to support planning, performance tracking, and scenario analysis.
• Support accounting operations during

  month-end and quarter-end closes

  , including reconciliations and accruals.
• Conduct

  ad-hoc analysis

  and assist on special finance projects.
• Adapt to evolving systems and workflows, including

  ERP integration

  (NetSuite).

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• Bachelors or Masters degree

  in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years

  years of experience

  in FP&A, accounting, or audit (experience at a

  CPA or CA firm

  preferred).
• Hands-on expertise in Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, dashboards).
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Netsuite or similar).
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
