Responsibilities This role is for a Principal Engineer - Structures on mining projects. Prepare foundation, steel structure & concrete structure designs calculation in compliance with industry standards. Perform analysis and design using software like Space Gass, STAAD Pro, SACS, Tekla, E3D, or S3D. Solid understanding of Australian Standards (AS) and international codes. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) for seamless project execution. Prepare civil and structural drawings, specifications, and design calculations. Calculate loads and select structural members based on forces and service demands. Design structural solutions for industrial, commercial, and institutional projects of various sizes with the main focus on industrial projects. Design of shallow and deep foundations, concrete piles, underground concrete vaults and tunnels, and slab reinforcement for a variety of loading conditions.
