Formulation & Manufacturing Executive – Nutraceuticals

Key Responsibilities

• Formulation Development:

• Develop and optimise formulations for nutraceutical products (capsules, tablets, powders, liquids).
• Work with internal teams and third-party manufacturers to scale formulations from lab to production.

• Manufacturing Coordination:

• Liaise with contract manufacturers for pilot batches, process validation, and troubleshooting.
• Review and refine batch manufacturing records (BMR/BPR) and ensure adherence to GMP practices.
• Participate in process optimisation and yield improvement.

• Quality & Documentation:

• Maintain formulation sheets, ingredient specifications, stability records, and test data.
• Coordinate with QA for ingredient approvals, packaging compatibility, and release documentation.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Support sourcing and procurement with ingredient insights (standardisation, purity, bioavailability).
• Work with marketing teams to validate technical claims and product communication.

• Regulatory (Value-Add):

• Familiarity with FSSAI regulations, permissible ingredient lists, and label claim guidelines.
• Work with external consultants or regulatory teams when required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• MSc in Nutraceuticals / Food Technology / Food Science.
• 2–5 years’ experience in 

  nutraceutical or functional food product development

   and 

  manufacturing

  .
• Strong understanding of formulation science and process scale-up.
• Exposure to 

  contract manufacturing environments

   (tablets, capsules, powders, or liquids).
• Practical approach with attention to detail in documentation and GMP.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a startup environment (multi-role, high accountability).
• Knowledge of FSSAI compliance is a plus but not mandatory.
