Job Title: Formulation Lead (Binola, Manesar)

Formulation Lead

What Youll Do

• Formulation Development

  : Design, develop, and refine high-performance formulations for metalworking fluids, lubricants, and corrosion preventives that meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.

• Testing & Analysis

  : Conduct lab-based testing (e.g., viscosity, oxidation stability, lubricity, corrosion resistance, emulsion stability). Analyze and interpret data to improve and optimize product performance.

• Scale-up & Production Support

  : Collaborate with production for pilot scale and commercial batch scale-up. Troubleshoot formulation or processing issues to ensure consistent product quality.

• Quality & Regulatory Compliance

  : Ensure all formulations comply with internal QA benchmarks and external ASTM, ISO, REACH, and other regulatory standards. Prepare and maintain SDS, TDS, and registration documentation.

• Supplier & Raw Material Management

  : Evaluate, qualify, and manage raw material suppliers. Support sourcing and cost optimization through alternate formulations or suppliers.

  nnovation & Technical Advancement

  : Stay updated on new chemistries, technologies, and market trends to drive product innovation and portfolio enhancement.

• Documentation

  : Maintain accurate formulation records, lab notes, technical reports, and support intellectual property (IP) efforts.

• Technical Support

  : Partner with internal teams (sales, QA, production) and engage with customers for technical troubleshooting, customization, and field performance feedback.

Qualifications & Competencies Needed for the Role:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in industrial lubricants, metalworking fluids, greases, or corrosion preventives
• Deep understanding of formulation chemistry, lab instrumentation, and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with standards such as ASTM, ISO, and REACH compliance
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and documentation discipline
• Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on proficiency with MS Office and experience using ERP or formulation software
• Minimum 4 years of experience out of which experience of working in a corporate for a minimum of 2-3 years is a must.
