Finishing Incharge

Role & responsibilities

Oversee various finishing processes such as washing, ironing, thread cutting, checking and packaging.

Ensure that all home textile products are processed correctly and as per the required specifications.

Ensure the effective use of equipment and machines involved in the finishing process.

Quality Control:

Monitor product quality to ensure that all items meet the required standards.

Inspect finished products for defects, color inconsistencies, and ensure that all finishing touches (like embroidery, print patterns) are applied correctly.

Coordinate with the Quality Control department to ensure no product defects are passed to customers.

Team Management:

Lead and manage a team of workers in the finishing department.

Provide training on new finishing techniques, machine operation, and safety practices.

Create shift schedules to ensure proper coverage and efficiency.

Process Improvement:

Work to continuously improve the finishing process for better efficiency, reduced wastage, and quality enhancement.

Recommend and implement best practices in garment finishing, ensuring consistency in production.

Inventory Management:

Ensure proper stock levels of finishing materials (e.g., labels, and packaging materials and others).

Maintain accurate records of all raw materials and finished goods.

Work closely with the procurement team to order necessary materials in time.

Maintain Production Deadlines:

Ensure timely completion of orders by coordinating the finishing schedule with other departments.

Work under pressure to meet deadlines without compromising product quality.

Preferred candidate profile

• Any bachelor's degree. MBA will be good to have

• 7+ years of experience in Warehouse Management

• Strong knowledge of textile materials, SKU management, and storage methods.

• Excellent leadership and team-handling skills.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
