Financial Controller

As a Controller at The LaLiT Chandigarh, your role will involve overseeing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations within the assigned unit or full property. You will be responsible for managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and analysis. Your tasks will include regular variance reporting comparing actuals vs budget, providing insights, and actionable recommendations. It will be your duty to implement and review internal controls, audit procedures, and ensure compliance with financial policies. Designing and maintaining MIS and financial reporting systems for operational and executive use will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will conduct cash and income audits, detect variances, and perform modal adjustments/write-off reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations within the assigned unit or full property - Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and analysis - Provide regular variance reporting comparing actuals vs budget, with insights and actionable recommendations - Implement and review internal controls, audit procedures, and ensure compliance with financial policies - Design and maintain MIS and financial reporting systems for operational and executive use - Conduct cash and income audits, detect variances, and perform modal adjustments/write-off reporting - Lead internal and external audit coordination - Be responsible for contracts, leases, capex compliance, and statutory obligations (TDS/GST, etc.) Qualifications Required: - Ideally a Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent - 18+ years of experience in hospitality finance - Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cash flow management, and MIS - Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Opera, SAP, Sun, Micros) preferred - Leadership capabilities, including training and supervising finance staff and coordinating with department heads - Excellent communication, numerical, and analytical skills - Ability to work accurately under pressure and with attention to detail Please note the email addresses for sending your CV: pratishtha.saxena@thelalit.com, aman.gupta@thelalit.com,
