Job Overview -

hands-on leadership role

The person will work closely with India leadership and US finance teams to ensure strong governance, accurate reporting, and efficient financial operations.

Finance Controllership

Key Responsibilities -

1. Financial Planning & Analysis

• Own annual budgeting, operating plans, and rolling forecasts.
  
• Track variances and share monthly financial insights.
  
• Partner with leadership for business planning and financial decision support.
  
• Build MIS dashboards for India & US leadership teams.
  

2. Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee general ledger, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures.
  
• Prepare financial statements as per statutory norms and GAAP.
  
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition, accruals, and provisions.
  
• Lead all audits: statutory, internal, tax, compliance.
  
• Manage GST, TDS, income tax, PF/ESI, and statutory filings.
  

3. Cash Flow, Treasury & Working Capital

• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
  
• Handle funds management, payments, vendor settlements.
  
• Review vendor payment terms and credit control mechanisms.
  
• Optimize treasury operations and banking relationships.
  

4. GCC Process Setup & Internal Controls

• Build finance processes and policies for the new GCC.
  
• Implement approval workflows, audit trails, and cost-control mechanisms.
  
• Standardize payroll, reimbursement, invoicing, procurement & asset processes.
  
• Ensure smooth coordination between India and US finance functions.
  

5. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the finance point-of-contact for India and US leadership.
  
• Collaborate with HR, Admin, Procurement, and Operations.
  
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  

6. Systems & Automation

• Work with ERP/accounting tools to maintain accurate real-time financial data.
  
• Automate reporting, reconciliations, and compliance workflows.
  
• Recommend upgrades and improvements to financial systems.

• Hands-on with

  Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  
• Experience handling audits and working with US finance teams.

Experience Requirements -

• 812 years

  of experience in

  accounting, financial control, or finance management

  .
• Prior experience in:
  

• GCC / Shared Services

• MNC environments

• Fast-growing or startup ecosystems

• Experience working with

  US stakeholders or clients
