Level 3 Firewall Operations Engineers

Shift Timings:

You can choose from one of the following

shifts:

• Shift 1:

  5:00 PM EST – 2:00 AM EST

  (2:30 AM – 11:30 AM IST)

• Shift 2:

  12:00 AM EST – 9:00 AM EST

  (9:30 AM – 6:30 PM IST)

  Weekend Coverage Option (4x10):

  Thursday to Sunday, 10-hour shifts (following the same time slots above).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide

  Tier 3 operational support

  for firewall incidents, requests, and problem resolution.
• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot

  Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, and Check Point

  firewalls.
• Analyze complex network traffic and security events to identify and resolve issues.
• Lead

  root cause analysis (RCA)

  for major firewall-related incidents.
• Maintain and audit

  firewall rule bases and policies

  to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with network architecture and engineering teams on new deployments and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain

  automation scripts

  (Python, Ansible, Bash, etc.) to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Integrate firewall management processes into

  CI/CD

  or

  SOAR

  pipelines.
• Participate in an

  on-call rotation

  for critical after-hours incidents.
• Maintain accurate

  documentation

  for all firewall operations and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum

  5 years

  of hands-on experience in

  firewall operations

  and

  network security

  .
• Expert-level knowledge of at least one enterprise firewall platform:

• Palo Alto Networks

  ,

  Cisco ASA/FTD

  , or

  Check Point

  .
• Deep understanding of

  TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VPNs, and security policies

  .
• Strong understanding of

  BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP

  routing protocols.
• Proven experience with automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, or Bash).
• Familiarity with centralized management tools such as:

• Panorama

  ,

  Cisco FMC

  , or

  Check Point Domain Manager

  .
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness in a global operations environment.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, 24x7 support environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating firewall operations with

  CI/CD pipelines or SOAR tools

  .
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PCNSE, CCNP Security, Check Point CCSA/CCSE).
• Prior experience supporting

  global enterprise network security environments
