Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Environment Engineering (AWS & GCP):

• Design, provision, and manage

  multi-account AWS

  and

  multi-project GCP

  environments.
• Configure cloud networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Subnets, Firewalls, Private Endpoints in AWS; VPC, Peering, Cloud Interconnect in GCP).
• Provision and manage database services (AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB; GCP Cloud SQL, BigQuery).
• Manage identity and access control (AWS IAM, AWS SSO, GCP IAM, Service Accounts, Roles).
  

Vetting & Governance:

• Review and validate incoming requests before deployment.
• Perform

  infrastructure pressure testing

  to ensure stability, security, and scalability.
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and design records.
  

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Develop and manage infrastructure using

  Terraform

  (must-have), AWS CloudFormation, and GCP Deployment Manager.
• Automate provisioning, networking, and security workflows.
  

Security & Compliance:

• Implement cloud security best practices across AWS and GCP.
• Work with tools like

  AWS Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center

  .

Automation & CI/CD:

• Build automation scripts in

  Python, Bash, or PowerShell

  .
• Integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines (

  Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD

  ).

Monitoring & Optimization:

• Implement monitoring solutions (

  CloudWatch, Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana

  ).
• Continuously optimize cost, performance, and scalability.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-12 years of hands-on Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in:
  

• AWS multi-account setup (Control Tower/Organizations)

  .

• GCP multi-project management and hierarchy

• VPC design and networking

  .

• IAM and access control in AWS & GCP

  .

• Database provisioning in both clouds

  .
• Advanced

  Terraform

  skills (mandatory).
• Proficiency in scripting (

  Python, Bash, or PowerShell

  ).
• Experience with

  CI/CD integration

  .
• Strong background in

  infrastructure validation, testing, and documentation

  .

Preferred Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
