Financial Analyst (US Indirect Tax)

Key Responsibilities

Sales Tax Compliance:

• Prepare, file, and remit city, county, and state sales and use tax returns in assigned

jurisdictions.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely archiving of all filings and payments.

Tax Research & Issue Resolution:

• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting indirect tax in assigned regions.
• Investigate and resolve tax-related issues, including jurisdictional notices and customer

service inquiries via ServiceNow.

Reporting & Metrics:

• Track and report on filing deadlines, payment schedules, and workload metrics.
• Maintain dashboards or trackers to monitor compliance status and performance indicators.

Process Improvement & Projects:

• Support tax-related projects including system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process

enhancements.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement best practices and improve operational

efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in US indirect tax compliance.
• Certifications: Not mandatory, but a plus (e.g., CPA, CMI).

Technical & Professional Skills:

• Strong understanding of US Indirect Tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP or similar financial systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Solid accounting fundamentals and ability to reconcile tax data.
• Experience handling and resolving tax notices from state/local jurisdictions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight

deadlines.
