Our team is growing, and for that reason, a new opportunity has opened for an experienced Finance Manager (Australia & India) to join our CFO services team. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in providing all our clients with exceptional client service. This role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to work professionally with stakeholders both internally (managers in Australia) and externally (dealing with clients).
This is a client-facing role and will involve catching up with Australian managers and clients on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis via teams/zoom calls. This role will also involve travelling to Australia in future for a potential client visit and training.
Ø Preferred: Management experience, training & review experience, and ability to collaborate independently with the Australian client.
Ø Liaison with firms’ partners and other executive teams
Ø Month and end-year process
Ø Accounts payable/receivable
Ø Cash receipts
Ø General ledger
Ø Payroll and utilities
Ø Treasury, budgeting, and forecasting
Ø Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
Ø Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
Ø Monthly reporting including P&L commentaries
Ø BAS/ income tax return preparation
Ø Capital assets reconciliations
Ø Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
Ø Create and maintain weekly/monthly cashflow forecasts for clients
Ø Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
Ø Coordinate and complete annual audits
Ø Process creation and documentation for new systems/clients
Ø Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Ø Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
Ø Build effective working relationships with senior client contacts and ensure retention of clients
Ø Manage & coordinate client work to team members/contractors with an appropriate level of capability.
Ø Ensure workflow within the team is allocated effectively and equitably
Ø Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Ø Ability to communicate independently with Australian clients over a team’s/zoom call
Ø Chartered Accountant and/or Australian CPA, US CPA
Ø Minimum 5 years of core Australian accounting and tax experience preferred.
Ø This role is ideally suited to a qualified CA who is looking to take the first step out of KPMG, EY, Deloitte, PWC or a similar large to mid-tier CA firm.
Ø Conceptual understanding of Australian taxation laws
Ø Exceptional client skills, including the ability to build and maintain a good working relationship with the client and a proactive approach to managing client expectations
Ø Be a self-starter with high levels of initiative and excellent time management skills
Ø Strong team player and quick learner
Ø Exceptional communication and presentation
Ø Proven ability to build strong relationships
Ø Must have excellent work habits to get the job done especially during deadlines.
