Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Cost Accounting & Budgeting

Perform cost accounting for the manufacturing unit, including calculation of material, labor, and overhead costs.
Analyze and reconcile production costs with actual expenditure.
Assist in preparation of cost sheets, standard costing, and variance analysis.
Support in preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
Evaluate product costing and profitability to support pricing and management decisions.

Financial Analysis

Analyze financial statements and operational data to assess performance and profitability.
Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Monitor production costs, inventory valuation, and overhead allocation to optimize margins.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align financial goals with operational efficiency.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.

Audit & Compliance

Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes, inventory controls, and cost accounting systems.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
Review and validate BOM (Bill of Materials), labor costs, and overhead absorption rates.
Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions to improve financial integrity.

Required Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Tally) and Excel-based financial modelling
Familiarity with cost accounting principles
Knowledge of internal controls and audit procedures
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
