The L2 FIM Engineer is responsible for managing, operating, and supporting Tripwire Enterprise across servers and applications. The engineer ensures effective file integrity monitoring, compliance control, incident analysis, and platform stability.
• Administer, configure, and maintain Tripwire Enterprise and its agents (Windows/Linux).
• Review, analyze, and triage FIM alerts; escalate suspicious changes as needed.
• Create and tune policies, rulesets, and baselines to reduce false positives.
• Perform health checks, performance tuning, and platform troubleshooting (L2 level).
• Coordinate with L1, SOC, IT Infra, and Change Management teams for legitimate vs unauthorized changes.
• Support compliance efforts (PCI, CIS, NIST) using Tripwire reports and dashboards.
• Integrate Tripwire with SIEM/ITSM tools and validate event flow.
• Document procedures, SOPs, and incident handling steps.
• Hands-on experience with Tripwire Enterprise / FIM tools.
• Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux file systems.
• Understanding of change management & endpoint security.
• Good scripting knowledge (PowerShell / Bash preferred).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• 4 years in security operations, endpoint security, or FIM tools support.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Tripwire Certified Professional (TCP)
• Security+ / CEH / any basic security cert
