Job Description

Experience in Field Service within Commercial Vehicle or Construction equipments is mandatory

1.Customer Support & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact customers (fleet operators, dealers, service centers).
  • Provide on-site technical support for breakdowns, repairs, and warranty-related concerns.
  • Build strong relationships with customers by ensuring timely service and solutions.

2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve vehicle issues at customer locations.
  • Assist dealers and workshops with complex repair jobs.
  • Escalate critical technical issues to the central technical team or R&D.

3. Dealer & Workshop Support

  • Guide dealer service teams in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure workshops follow standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits of dealer workshops to check quality and service readiness.

4. Training & Development

  • Train dealer technicians, fleet mechanics, and drivers on product knowledge, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Organize driver & mechanic training programs for new products and technologies (BS6 engines, iEGR, SCR, EV buses/trucks, etc.).

5. Warranty & Service Compliance

  • Validate warranty claims and ensure accurate submission to headquarters.
  • Monitor warranty costs, analyze failures, and work on reducing repeat complaints.
  • Ensure adherence to company warranty policies and service guidelines.

6. Feedback & Product Improvement

  • Collect real-time feedback from customers on vehicle performance, mileage, and reliability.
  • Share field failure reports (FFR) with the Quality/R&D teams for continuous product improvement.
  • Support in conducting field trials for new vehicles/aggregates.

7. Service Campaigns & Field Activities

  • Execute service campaigns, recalls, and free service camps in the assigned territory.
  • Promote genuine parts usage and service packages among customers.
  • Support sales team during vehicle delivery and customer demos by ensuring smooth service handover.

8. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare service reports, breakdown analysis, and customer visit reports.
  • Maintain data on vehicle uptime, service expenses, and repeat complaints.
  • Use digital service portals/tools for documentation and communication.
