Job Description

A field sales executive's job description involves generating leads, closing deals, and building customer relationships by traveling to meet clients. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, developing sales strategies, creating sales reports, and achieving sales targets. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills. Core responsibilities Prospecting and lead generation: Identify new sales opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling within an assigned territory. Client meetings and presentations: Meet with potential and existing customers to present and demonstrate products or services. Sales execution: Negotiate contracts, handle objections, and close sales to achieve sales targets and quotas. Relationship management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients. Reporting and administration: Track sales activities, update customer records in a CRM system, and prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts. Market and competitor analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs. Required skills and qualifications Proven sales experience and a track record of achieving targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage a territory. Good customer service skills. Familiarity with sales software and CRM systems. A bachelor's degree in sales or marketing is often preferred.
