Muthoot Microfin, a part of the Muthoot Pappachan Group (MPG), is a leading microfinance institution focused on providing micro-loans to women in rural and semi-urban areas of India. With an aim to empower economically weaker sections, particularly women, the institution follows the Joint Liability Group (JLG) model of microfinance. It offers financial support to promote entrepreneurship among women engaged in small businesses, fostering financial inclusion and socioeconomic growth. Muthoot Microfin primarily serves women customers in rural regions, enabling them to improve their livelihood and standard of living through easily accessible income-generating loans.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Field Officer role based in Odisha, India. The Field Officer is responsible for identifying potential customers, forming and managing Joint Liability Groups, conducting field visits, and assessing loan applications. The role involves disbursing loans, ensuring timely collections, building trust with customers, and providing guidance on financial literacy. The Field Officer will also focus on promoting entrepreneurship, achieving targets, and maintaining operational efficiency while actively engaging with rural communities.

Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships, counseling customers, and ensuring effective group coordination.
Organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently while meeting set goals and deadlines.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues during loan processes.
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned regions and work closely with rural communities for achieving financial inclusion goals.
Basic knowledge of financial products, loan management, or experience in community work is a plus.
High level of ethics, honesty, and responsibility towards social service and empowerment.
Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or a related field is advantageous.
