Fermentation Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Education:

  M.Sc. or M.Tech in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field

• Experience:

  Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in fermentation operations in a biotech or biopharma plant
• Perform end-to-end fermentation operations including media and seed preparation, inoculum development, and batch monitoring
• Operate and maintain upstream and downstream processing equipment such as fermenters, continuous and basket centrifuges, spray dryers, TFF systems, crystallizers, homogenizers, and autoclaves
• Conduct routine sample analysis such as viscosity measurements, residual sugar tests, microscopy, and other in-process checks
• Follow and maintain aseptic techniques, ensuring compliance with cleanroom protocols, fumigation practices, and environmental monitoring (air and water quality checks)
• Work with R&D scale glass fermenters and scale-up operations as needed
• Support microbiological activities including CFU counts, isolation, biochemical tests, and inoculum quality checks
• Maintain clear and accurate batch records, logbooks, and other documentation in compliance with GMP, GLP, and ISO 9001:2015 standards
• Follow all plant safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment
• Lift and handle materials or equipment weighing up to 25 kg as part of routine operations
• Assist in inventory management, vendor coordination, audits etc
• Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet batch timelines and address process deviations
• Be available to work in

  rotational shifts (A/B/C)
