Role & responsibilities Operate AFBC Boiler through Distributed Control System (DCS) ensuring safe and efficient functioning. Monitor parameters such as furnace temperature, steam pressure, feed water levels, and combustion efficiency. Optimize steam generation for captive power plant and cement kiln requirements. Manage fuel feeding (coal/lignite) and air distribution for proper fluidized bed combustion. Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams for preventive and corrective maintenance. Support troubleshooting of boiler trips, fuel system blockages, or instrumentation faults. Maintain operational logs, shift reports, and performance records for audits. Preferred candidate profile Strong knowledge of AFBC Boiler working principles (fluidized bed combustion, fuel feeding, ash handling). Hands-on experience with DCS systems, interlock logic, alarm handling, and trip analysis. Familiarity with boiler feed water systems, steam generation cycle, and WHRS (Waste Heat Recovery System) interface. Ability to work under pressure with strict compliance discipline. Strong communication skills for coordination with field operators and maintenance teams. Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and process optimization.
