Role & responsibilities :- In a restaurant, a steward's work revolves around maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficient service within the dining and kitchen areas . They handle tasks such as table setting, dishwashing, and ensuring the restaurant meets hygiene standards. Additionally, they assist with guest services like seating guests, taking orders, and clearing tables. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Dining Area Responsibilities: Table Maintenance: Setting tables with appropriate linens, cutlery, glassware, and crockery. Clearing tables after guests leave and preparing them for the next service. Guest Assistance: Greeting and seating guests, providing menus, and ensuring guests have everything they need for a comfortable dining experience. Beverage Service: Serving water, refilling drinks, and potentially assisting with other beverage service tasks. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the dining area tidy, wiping down tables, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the space. Inventory Management: Assisting with stocking side stations with necessary supplies like napkins, cutlery, and condiments. General Responsibilities: Ensuring Safety and Hygiene: Following all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Assisting Staff: Helping other staff members, such as servers, bartenders, or kitchen staff, as needed.
