Job Title: Farm Supervisor

The Farm Supervisor oversees daily agricultural operations to ensure efficient, safe, and productive farm activities. This role is responsible for supervising farm workers, monitoring crop or livestock conditions, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring compliance with farm policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Farm Operations Management

• Oversee daily farm activities such as planting, cultivation, irrigation, fertilization, harvesting, or livestock care.
• Ensure proper use of farm machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Monitor crop growth or animal health and report issues promptly.
• Implement and follow best agricultural practices to maximize yield and quality.

2. Staff Supervision

• Assign daily tasks to farm workers and supervise work performance.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to staff.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and farm protocols.

3. Resource & Inventory Management

• Manage supply inventory such as seeds, fertilizers, feed, chemicals, and materials.
• Coordinate procurement with suppliers when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of farm inputs and outputs.

4. Equipment & Facility Maintenance

• Schedule and oversee maintenance of farm equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure proper storage and safe handling of machinery and chemicals.

5. Compliance & Record Keeping

• Maintain farm records including production data, pesticide use, feeding schedules, and worker attendance.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, environmental standards, and health & safety rules.

6. Reporting

• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for farm management.
• Track labor efficiency, costs, and production performance.

Qualifications & Skills

• B.Sc. in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in rural fieldwork, SHG formation, livestock extension, or related domains.
