Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Jewellery Factory Manager to oversee all aspects of our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record in process optimization, loss control, and personnel management within the fine jewellery sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production and Loss Control

  • Minimize Gold Loss: Take full ownership of minimizing gold loss across all manufacturing departments. This includes identifying key loss areas and implementing strategic changes in manufacturing techniques, processes, and/or alternative solutions to ensure the highest possible yield and efficiency.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine production processes, from raw material handling to final finishing, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.'

2. Operational Management

  • Workflow Streamlining: Design, implement, and manage a seamless order flow system from initial order taking to final delivery. Ensure efficient and clear communication and handoffs between all relevant departments (e.g., design, casting, setting, polishing, quality control).
  • Conflict Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving inter-departmental conflicts and functional disagreements, ensuring smooth and collaborative factory operations.
  • Quality and Output: Oversee daily production to ensure all orders are completed on time, meet our rigorous quality standards, and align with production schedules.

3. Human Resources Management

  • Team Leadership: Manage all factory personnel, including artisans, technicians, and support staff. This involves recruiting, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
  • Workflow Management: Satisfactorily manage and allocate human resources to optimize workflow, ensuring all departments are appropriately staffed and utilized to meet production demands.
  • Employee Relations: Maintain a positive, productive, and safe work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of dedicated experience managing a fine jewellery manufacturing factory or similar high-value production environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of various jewellery manufacturing techniques (casting, stamping, assembly, stone setting, finishing, etc.) and best practices for material handling, specifically gold.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Expected Salary: INR 70,000 to 1,00,000 per month.
