Factory Manager

Role Overview: As the Factory Manager at the mattress manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire production process. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high production standards, optimizing efficiency, managing a team, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. It will be your duty to ensure that production targets are met, quality standards are adhered to, and costs are effectively managed. Key Responsibilities: - Production Management: - Oversee and manage all aspects of the mattress manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products. - Ensure production schedules are adhered to and production targets are met on time and within budget. - Develop and implement production plans to optimize workflow and meet customer demands. - Quality Control: - Ensure that all mattresses meet quality standards and specifications. - Conduct regular inspections and audits of production lines to identify areas for improvement. - Address any quality issues quickly and ensure corrective actions are taken. - Team Leadership: - Lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team of production workers, machine operators, and supervisors. - Provide training and development opportunities for staff to improve skills and productivity. - Maintain positive employee relations and foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. - Inventory and Supply Chain Management: - Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure raw materials and supplies are available as needed. - Monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth production operations without overstocking or shortages. - Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials. - Health, Safety, and Compliance: - Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and legal regulations governing the factory environment. - Conduct safety audits and implement improvements to minimize workplace accidents and injuries. - Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. - Cost Control and Budgeting: - Manage production costs and identify areas to improve efficiency and reduce waste. - Develop and monitor budgets related to production, labor, and materials. - Implement strategies to optimize the use of resources and improve profitability. - Continuous Improvement: - Drive lean manufacturing practices and process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. - Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies. - Implement best practices and innovative technologies to improve factory operations. - Reporting and Communication: - Prepare and submit regular reports on production progress, issues, and key metrics to senior management. - Liaise with other departments (e.g., sales, logistics, maintenance) to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
