The Manager, Facilities is responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of facilities services within a corporate environment. This includes managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, implementing cost-effective maintenance strategies, and ensuring a safe, comfortable, and efficient working environment for employees. The role will also involve managing vendor relationships, budgeting, and resource planning.
Oversee the maintenance and operation of all office facilities, including infrastructure, utilities, and office equipment.
Ensure that facilities are fully operational, safe, and compliant with local laws and industry regulations.
Manage the setup, relocation, and configuration of workspaces to accommodate team growth or changes.
Oversee the daily operations of janitorial, security, and maintenance services.
Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with external vendors, including maintenance service providers, cleaning services, security, and others.
Monitor and review vendor performance to ensure high-quality service delivery, contract compliance, and cost control.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of outsourced services and facilities operations.
Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies for utilities, maintenance, and other operational expenses.
Monitor expenses and track cost savings through efficient resource management and vendor negotiations.
Recommend and implement cost-effective improvements to enhance facilities operations without compromising on service quality or safety.
Ensure all facilities are compliant with local health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency drills (e.g., fire evacuation) to maintain a safe workplace.
Manage health and safety-related concerns, incidents, and reporting.
Lead and supervise the facilities team, ensuring timely execution of facilities-related tasks.
Coordinate with HR, IT, and other departments for smooth facilities integration with organizational processes.
Serve as the point of contact for employee concerns regarding office amenities, space utilization, and other facilities-related issues.
Oversee special facilities projects such as office renovation, relocations, or installations.
Lead and coordinate projects from inception through execution, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in compliance with organizational requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Prior experience in a BPO or similar high-volume, fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance, vendor management, and health & safety regulations.
