Job Summary The Manager - Facilities oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and improvements of a company's physical infrastructure and assets. This role ensures that facilities are safe, functional, compliant, and cost-effective while meeting the organization’s operational needs. The Manager - Facilities leads a team of professionals and vendors to maintain optimal working conditions and manages projects related to upgrades or renovations. Qualifications: Education: Preferably engineering Background – Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Experience : 15+ years of experience in facilities management in IT Industry. Key Attributes: Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.). Proficient in facility management software Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Familiarity with safety regulations, compliance standards, and sustainability practices. Experience in managing facilities for large corporate. Key Responsibilities 1. Facility Operations: Plan, organize, and oversee daily facility operations, including building maintenance, safety, and security. Ensure facilities are compliant with health, safety, and environmental standards. Manage energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. 2. Maintenance and Repairs: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules. Coordinate with technicians and external vendors for repairs and servicing. Respond promptly to maintenance and operational issues. 3. Budget and Resource Management: Prepare and manage the facilities budget. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and service providers. Track and manage expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities 4. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of facility staff and contractors. Conduct regular training and performance evaluations. Promote a culture of safety and collaboration. 5. Security and Safety: Ensure facilities adhere to security protocols. Develop and implement emergency response plans. Conduct regular safety audits and drills. 6. Vendor and Contract Management Source, negotiate, and manage vendor and service contracts for cleaning, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure vendors adhere to contractual agreements and quality standards. 7. Space Planning and Optimization: Plan and manage space allocation and office layouts. Oversee office moves, renovations, and upgrades. Optimize the use of available space for operational efficiency. 8. Compliance and Safety Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building codes, health, and safety standards. Implement and maintain workplace safety policies and procedures. 9. Project Management Plan and execute facility improvement projects, renovations, or expansions. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. 7. Asset and Inventory Management Maintain accurate records of facility assets and inventory.
