Job Description

As an Expert Technical Support Consultant at Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, you will be responsible for providing technical support for complex healthcare applications and working with international clients. Your role will involve troubleshooting issues related to SQL, HL7, Microsoft Windows Server, and SQL Server. You will need to leverage your problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide software application support to hospital IT staff remotely - Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues for international clients - Track and document inbound requests, ensuring adherence to SLAs - Educate clients on application functionality and software error resolution - Handle priority support cases, incidents, and requests, providing regular client updates - Create knowledge base articles and document defects - Collaborate with internal teams and mentor team members on SQL - Provide on-call production support on a rotational basis for critical tickets - Engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure issue resolution Qualifications Required: - Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including writing queries, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, SQL Profiling, and troubleshooting issues - Strong understanding of Windows Server administration - Experience in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server - Significant experience in software/product support with expert-level troubleshooting skills - Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Experience working effectively in team environments and independently - Minimum of 7 years of experience in a support role within healthcare applications Soft Skills & Behavioral Competencies: - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently and in a team - Willingness to work in flexible shifts, including after-hours and on-call support Working Arrangements: - Flexible policy for working from home and/or office - Willingness to work in a 24/5 shift model - Willingness to work during after-hours and holidays as on-call support Altera Digital Health is driving innovation in healthcare technology, and as a part of the team, you will play a crucial role in elevating care delivery and inspiring healthier communities globally.
