As an Expert Technical Support Consultant at Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, you will play a crucial role in delivering health IT solutions that support caregivers worldwide. You will be at the forefront of driving a new era of healthcare by utilizing your deep expertise in SQL, HL7, and application troubleshooting to elevate care delivery and inspire healthier communities globally. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support to hospital IT staff, troubleshooting complex software issues for international clients, and ensuring proper case documentation and adherence to SLAs. To excel in this role, you must possess expert-level proficiency in SQL, including writing queries, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, and troubleshooting various issues. Your strong understanding of Windows Server administration and experience in supporting Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server will be essential. Additionally, your significant experience in software/product support, ability to work effectively in team environments, and excellent communication skills will be critical for success in this fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a support or similar role within healthcare applications. Knowledge of healthcare applications, patient care environments, and relevant certifications in Microsoft SQL, Windows Server, Healthcare IT, or Health Care Informatics would be advantageous. Experience managing healthcare interfaces using HL7 and the ability to multitask effectively with a strong customer-centric focus are also desirable qualifications. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams, mentor team members on SQL, handle support escalations, and provide on-call production support on a rotational basis for priority tickets. Your strong problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and willingness to work in flexible shifts, including after-hours and holidays, will be crucial for ensuring client satisfaction and issue resolution.
