Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end import processes for spices, including documentation, shipping, clearance, and delivery.
  • Coordinate with overseas suppliers for order placement, shipment schedules, and quality requirements.
  • Prepare and verify import documents (invoice, packing list, BL/AWB, COO, FSSAI/Phytosanitary certificates, etc.).
  • Work closely with freight forwarders, CHA, and logistics partners to ensure timely clearance and cost optimization.
  • Monitor international pricing trends, duty structures, and regulatory changes related to spices.
  • Maintain import records and prepare MIS reports.
  • Resolve import-related issues and delays proactively.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 25 years of import operations experience (preferably in spices, food ingredients, or agro-commodities).
  • Strong knowledge of import documentation, customs regulations, and logistics.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
