Executive/Assistant Manager - Procurment

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for engineering goods and CAPEX requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure best value procurement.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and quality.

Procurement Operations:

• Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders.
• Ensure timely procurement of machinery, equipment, spare parts, and other engineering items.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (engineering, projects, finance) for specification finalization and procurement planning.

CAPEX Procurement:

• Manage end-to-end procurement for capital projects including plant upgrades, new installations, and infrastructure development.
• Ensure alignment with project timelines and budgets.
• Support technical evaluations and commercial negotiations.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier performance.

Cost Optimization & Reporting

• Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing, bulk buying, and long-term contracts.
• Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and supplier performance metrics.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Experience:

• Age 30~35 years
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 6~8 years of proven experience in procurement, preferably in the polymers industry or a related mfg. sector.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor development.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools.
