Executive - Warehouse Operation

Job Title: Executive – Warehouse OperationsDepartment: Operations – Contract Logistics Location: Chennai Band: 2 Reporting To: ROM – South Experience Required: 4+ years in warehouse operations (across 2–3 industries) Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Operations or Supply Chain Management Role Summary:We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Executive to manage and oversee all warehouse activities including inward, inventory, dispatch, and team management. The candidate should be highly organized, safety-focused, and capable of managing large teams in a tech-enabled environment. Key Responsibilities:Manage complete warehouse functions: Inward, Putaway, Picking, Outbound, and Inventory. Unload all SKUs batch-wise, ensuring timely GRN and Putaway. Ensure accurate FIFO/FEFO picking and timely dispatches. Plan and manage manpower as per volume fluctuations. Independently handle a team of over 100 staff members. Maintain stock and batch accuracy; resolve inventory issues promptly. Ensure hygiene and safety standards in storage areas. Handle customer/depot queries and ensure timely resolution. Collect Proof of Deliveries (PODs) regularly and complete ACC collections before the 10th of each month. Ensure timely escalations for non-compliance and operational issues. Oversee Goods in Transit (GIT) and ensure timely GRN at stores and RDs. Address and resolve store/RD complaints within timelines. Coordinate stock transfers between DCs and customer locations. Finalize zoning and locations with customers; ensure zero customer debits. Maintain operational productivity to protect margins. Ensure Profit & Loss (P&L) stays within budget. Support customer needs and ensure timely reporting. Handle customer escalations and proactively reduce complaints in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager. Required Skills & Competencies:4+ years of experience in relevant warehouse operations, across 2–3 industries Rich exposure to Distribution Center (DC) operations Tech-savvy with the ability to work in an advanced IT environment Proficient in SAP/Oracle and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Graduate or Postgraduate from a reputed university, preferably with specialization in Operations or Supply Chain Management
