Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Food Technologist with a specialization in beverage applications to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new beverage formulations, flavor screening and recommending ideal dosage for end-use application and supporting the customers for scale-up and commercialization process. Key Accountabilities: Develop New Beverage Concepts: Developing and optimizing innovative beverage formulations (e.g., fruit beverages, CSD, PSD, juices, energy drinks, functional beverages, nutritional dry blends, dairy-based drinks, tea and coffee etc.) aligned with market trends and business strategy. Conduct Plant Trials: Conducting lab-scale experiments and pilot trials to validate concepts; evaluating ingredient functionality, stability, and interactions in beverage matrices. Continuous Improvement: Collaborating with cross-functional teams on product commercialization, including production scale-up and process optimization. Maintaining technical documentation, including formulations, specifications, and trial reports. Ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Monitoring market trends, emerging ingredients, and technologies to identify innovation opportunities; and supporting sensory evaluations, shelf-life testing, and consumer trials Qualifications: Educational Background: BSc/ MSc or Btech/Mtech in Food Science & Technology or Dairy Technology Experience: 1- 4 years of experience in R&D, specifically in beverage & dairy product development. Previous experience in flavor application development, preferably in the beverage & dairy category Skills: The candidate should have strong knowledge of flavours, ingredients, processing methods, and food safety standards in the beverage industry. Familiarity with sensory evaluation and consumer insight tools, and proficiency in using lab equipment and analytical tools relevant to beverage R&D. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills are also essential.
